As of today, I don’t think there is a better camera for traveling in terms of quality and portability.

The best action camera you can get. We love photography and videography, but overall, we love adventure.
There is no camera out there like the GoPro for this — surfing, trekking, swimming with dolphins, you name it. We bought the HERO7 for its stabilisation, which was the feature that changed our footage. Several generations later the current flagship is the HERO13 Black, and it is still waterproof without a housing, which is the whole point on a trip.

Never be without a book. The Paperwhite is the one worth the extra over the basic Kindle: it is the waterproof one, which matters more than it sounds when the book comes to the beach.
